About the book

He moved in to save money. He did not plan on falling for his “practice” partner.

Drew Callahan is freshly divorced and needs somewhere affordable to live.

His queer best friend Wes has a spare room.

Technically.

The “room” is basically a closet, so they end up sharing a queen bed instead.

Wes has been in love with Drew for nine years. He watched him get married, gave a toast at the wedding, and learned how to live around a feeling he never expected to get returned.

Then Drew panics about dating again and Wes makes a joke about practice kisses.

One kiss becomes a series of escalating “lessons” that destroy Drew’s straight label and make it impossible for Wes to keep pretending his heart is safe.

When a job opportunity threatens to move Wes away, both men have to decide whether they are still practicing—or finally choosing each other.
