He’s the NHL’s most dangerous enforcer. He’s the Bratva heir who owns the team. The collision between chaos and control will set Las Vegas on fire.

Wyatt “Wrecker” Callahan has been traded to the Las Vegas Vipers — his fourth team in six years, and his last chance. He’s an enforcer with a reputation for reckless violence, a hollow place in his chest that only adrenaline fills, and a single, devastating memory: a man in a hotel bar in Chicago who took off his gloves and changed everything. One night. No names. No second chances.

Until Wyatt walks into the Vipers’ locker room and finds him waiting.

Lev Volkov is the son of the man who owns the Vipers — and the western Bratva. Groomed from birth to inherit an empire built on fear, Lev has spent thirty years constructing the perfect mask: cold, controlled, untouchable. He wears leather gloves indoors. He doesn’t smile. He doesn’t feel. And the hockey player from Chicago — the one indulgence he’s never been able to erase from his memory — has just been assigned to his team.

When a viral locker room incident forces the team’s hand, Lev is appointed Wyatt’s personal handler under a “behavioral management agreement.” The rules are clear: no fighting, no scandals, and absolutely no touching the Bratva heir.

Wyatt has never followed a rule in his life.

In the penthouse forty-two stories above the Las Vegas Strip, the enforcer and the handler discover that the thing between them didn’t die in Chicago — it’s been growing. Wyatt is chaos incarnate: loud, reckless, a wrecking ball with a heart too big for his chest. Lev is control personified: precise, lethal, a scalpel wrapped in a three-piece suit. Together, they’re a collision that shouldn’t work — except it does, in the dark, behind closed doors, in the space between commands and surrender.

But Lev’s father is watching. And in the Bratva, love isn’t a weakness — it’s a weapon pointed at the people you care about most. When Viktor Volkov discovers his heir’s secret, Lev must choose: obey the man who built him, or burn the empire down to protect the man who broke him open.

Pucking Around in Sin City is a high-heat MM hockey romance featuring a brat who can’t stop provoking and a handler who can’t stop responding, leather gloves that come off one finger at a time, a Bratva coup executed between periods, and a love story that proves the most dangerous thing in Las Vegas isn’t the mob — it’s the man who makes you feel. Contains explicit content, D/s dynamics, and a guaranteed happily ever after.

Chapter One: The Locker Room Claim

The first thing you need to understand about me is that I am not a smart man.

I say this not out of false modesty or the performative self-deprecation that athletes deploy in post-game interviews when they want to seem humble. I say this because I am sitting in the visiting locker room of T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, staring at a name etched into my new locker in the kind of tasteful, understated font that rich people use to communicate that they’re rich, and I am experiencing what can only be described as a full-system shutdown.

The name on the locker says CALLAHAN.

It should say DISASTER.

Because this is my fourth team in six years, and the Las Vegas Vipers didn’t acquire me for my hockey IQ or my charming personality or my ability to contribute meaningfully to a power play. They acquired me because I am six-foot-four, two hundred and thirty-five pounds, and I hit people so hard their grandchildren feel it. I am an enforcer. A goon. A blunt instrument in a sport that increasingly has no use for blunt instruments but hasn’t quite figured out how to get rid of us yet.

My agent, Darren, calls me “a unique talent with room for personal growth.” My last coach in LA called me “a goddamn liability.” My mother, who watches every game from her living room in Traverse City, Michigan, and who has never once in her life sworn, calls me “my Wyatt” in a tone that suggests she is praying for my soul on a near-continuous basis.

None of them are wrong.

I peel off my shirt and stare at the pristine, state-of-the-art locker room that cost more money than I will make in my entire career. The Vipers’ facility is obscene. Everything is glass and chrome and the kind of ambient lighting that makes you feel like you’re inside a very expensive spaceship. The carpet is thick enough to lose small children in. The showers have seventeen settings, including one labeled “Nordic Plunge” that I am both terrified of and deeply attracted to.

This is the nicest locker room I have ever been in, and I have the distinct, gnawing suspicion that I will do something to get myself thrown out of it within the month.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the dynamic between Wyatt and Lev?
Wyatt is the brat — loud, reckless, and incapable of following rules. Lev is the handler — cold, controlled, and obsessed with maintaining order. Their D/s dynamic develops organically from this friction, with Lev as the dominant and Wyatt discovering that surrender is the opposite of weakness.

Is there mafia content?
Yes. Lev is the heir to the western Bratva, and the mafia plot is integral to the story. There is on-page violence including a penthouse confrontation, gunfire, and a coup. The violence serves the story and the romance — it’s not gratuitous.

How steamy is it?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 (5/5 flames). This book contains explicit content including power exchange, possessive claiming, praise kink, marking, face-to-face intimacy, and a bonus chapter that’s too hot for Amazon. The heat escalates alongside the emotional stakes.

Is there a happy ending?
Always. This is a romance novel — the HEA is guaranteed. Lev takes the throne, Wyatt plays the best hockey of his career, and they end up together. Permanently. With a framed photo on the bookshelf and a beer cap on the counter.

Do I need to read anything before this?
Nope! Pucking Around in Sin City is a complete standalone in the Sin City Vipers series. No cliffhangers, no prior reading required.
