About the book

They swore the hookups wouldn’t wreck the team. The team disagrees.

Theo “T” Kline plays every rec-league game like the Stanley Cup is on the line. Cocky, competitive, and always ready with a joke, the forward would rather talk trash than admit how much an old rejection still hurts.

Jasper “Jazz” Okafor is the team’s calm, devastating defenseman. After a teammate outed him, he rebuilt his hockey life around one protection: never letting anyone see him lose control. Theo makes that rule increasingly difficult to follow.

Their solution is supposed to be simple—post-game hookups, no feelings, no drama, and absolutely no kissing in the locker room. Their chemistry on the ice is lethal. Off it, an arrangement that should have stayed casual starts spilling into jealous arguments over shifts, goals, and who gets to take whom home.

With playoffs approaching, their found-family teammates stage an intervention and their coach issues an ultimatum: sort things out or stop sleeping together. Saving the season means confronting the feelings they both keep denying. For two men who know how to take a hit, honesty might be the most intimidating move of all.
