Elsie Silver Books in Order: Chestnut Springs, Rose Hill, Emerald Lake & Gold Rush Ranch (2026)

Elsie Silver books in order is the cowboy romance reading list of the moment. Netflix is developing her Chestnut Springs books as a series, Prime Video is filming Rose Hill, and in May 2026 she opened a brand-new series, Emerald Lake, with another bull rider on the cover. Below is every Elsie Silver book in series order with a spoiler-free hook, where to start, the full publication timeline, the screen news, what’s next and hotter cowboys for when you’ve read them all.

Elsie Silver Books in Order: Where to Start

Start with Flawless, the first Chestnut Springs book. It’s the one BookTok made famous, it’s the one Netflix bought, and it introduces the Eaton family whose brothers fill the rest of the series. If you want her newest, Fever Dream (2026) starts Emerald Lake and stands on its own. If you prefer small-town single dads to rodeos, Wild Love opens Rose Hill. Gold Rush Ranch is where she started, and it reads best once you already love her.

Every Silver novel follows a new couple to its own happy ending. Within a series, read in order: the families, cameos and running jokes all carry forward.

The Chestnut Springs Series in Order

  1. Flawless (2022): Rhett Eaton is a champion bull rider near the end of his career who wants one more title, until a viral outburst threatens his sponsorships. His agent sends a babysitter for the season: his daughter, Summer Hamilton, a law graduate with no interest in rodeos or cowboys. Road trips, one hotel bed and a stay on the Eaton ranch later, Rhett decides out loud that he’s going to win her. Our books like Flawless list picks up from here.
  2. Heartless (2022): Cade Eaton, Rhett’s grumpy brother, is a single dad on the family ranch who needs a nanny. Willa Grant, Summer’s chaotic best friend, takes the job. Grumpy-sunshine at full strength, and for many readers the best book in the series.
  3. Powerless (2023): Jasper and Sloane, best friends to lovers on a road trip.
  4. Reckless (2023): Theo Silva, a young bull rider from Rhett’s circuit, and Winter Hamilton, Summer’s icy surgeon sister. A one-night stand turns into much more, and the cocky cowboy sets out to thaw the woman everyone else is afraid of. The spice gets the most praise in the series.
  5. Hopeless (2023): Beau Eaton, the military brother, comes home carrying more than he shows, and bartender Bailey Jansen, from the neighboring family the Eatons love to prank, needs out of her own family. A fake engagement and an age gap close out the series.

Heat: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ explicit, with several on-page scenes per book after a slow-burn first half. Silver’s website also hosts bonus material for the series, including Christmas in Chestnut Springs and the Harvey Chapters.

The Rose Hill Series in Order

Rose Hill trades the rodeo for a lake town, with a softer, more emotional mood, single parents and found family.

  1. Wild Love (2024): Ford comes home to Rose Hill as a billionaire with a recording-studio world, an unexpected daughter and an attraction to Rosie, his best friend’s sister. Our books like Wild Love list has the readalikes.
  2. Wild Eyes (2024): West Belmont is a grumpy horse trainer and a devoted single dad of twins; Skylar Stone is a pop star running from the spotlight who hides out in his small town. The Flawless setup flipped, with the celebrity as the heroine.
  3. Wild Side (2025)
  4. Wild Card (2025)

The Emerald Lake Series in Order

  1. Fever Dream (May 2026): rodeo playboy Emmett Branch signs on as the eligible bachelor of a reality dating show called Romance Ranch to earn the money to save his family’s farm. Julia Silva is a location assistant behind the camera, and the little sister of one of his biggest rivals. Every romance on set is manufactured except the one nobody is filming. Familiar faces from Reckless turn up. Heat: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ open door.
  2. Midnight Rush (2027): listed as the second Emerald Lake book. No synopsis yet.

The Gold Rush Ranch Series in Order

Silver’s first series: horses, racing and ranch life, with messier relationships and less polish than Chestnut Springs, but the same DNA.

  1. Off to the Races (2021): horse trainer Billie Black goes to work under Vaughn Harding, the ranch manager she bickers with from day one. Boss-and-employee rivals on a racehorse farm.
  2. Out of the Gate (2021, novella)
  3. A Photo Finish (2021): jockey Violet Eaton, Rhett’s sister, gets her own book, which is why Chestnut Springs readers end up here.
  4. The Front Runner (2021)
  5. A False Start (2022)

Bonus material for this series, including Billie and Vaughn’s wedding, lives on Silver’s website.

Which Elsie Silver Series Should You Read?

All four series share the same engine: a hero who is all swagger or all scowl until he’s all in, a heroine with her own job and her own guarded past who makes him earn it, a rowdy found family and forced proximity that the setting supplies for free. What changes is the backdrop and the mood.

  • Chestnut Springs if you want rodeo, bull riders and a ranch family of brothers. It’s the most consistent of the four, the funniest and the one most readers fall for first. Read it in order for the Eaton cameos.
  • Rose Hill if you want single dads, a lake town and a softer emotional register. Wild Love and Wild Eyes are the two being adapted, so start there.
  • Emerald Lake if you want the newest book and a reality-TV premise. Fever Dream brings the rodeo back and connects to Reckless through Julia Silva, so read Chestnut Springs first if you can.
  • Gold Rush Ranch if you want horses, racing and boss-and-employee rivals, or if you finished Chestnut Springs and need Violet Eaton’s book. It’s her earliest work, so expect a rougher edge.

If you only read one book from each, make it Flawless, Wild Eyes, Fever Dream and Off to the Races, in that order, and you’ll know exactly which world to go back to.

Separately, Prime Video’s Rose Hill series, based on Wild Love and Wild Eyes, is in production, with Jake Weary and Sadie Dickerson cast as West and Skylar.

On the page, Midnight Rush is the next book, listed for 2027 as the second Emerald Lake novel. Until then, our best western romance books of 2026 and books like Done and Dusted lists will keep you in boots.
