MM Ranch Romance

Available at all major retailers
Pairing: MM
Heat: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Inferno
Tropes: Ranch Romance, Forced Proximity, Grumpy/Sunshine, Arrangement, One Bed, City Boy Goes Country, Praise Kink, Found Family, Touch Starved
The arrangement was simple: fix his books, share his bed. The rancher was not simple at all.
Elliot Cross hasn’t slept in three days. He quit his six-figure law career, ghosted his cheating ex, and drove until the highway spit him out at a ranch so beat-up it should come with a warning label. The last thing he needs is another man who runs hot and cold — especially one with forearms like that.
Wes Calloway doesn’t need a pretty-faced city lawyer cluttering up his barn. He needs a miracle. The ranch is bleeding money, the bank is circling, and his pride won’t let him ask for help. But when Elliot offers to untangle his financial mess in exchange for a roof and three meals a day, Wes can’t afford to say no.
The rules are clear: temporary, professional, hands off.
But it’s hard to keep boundaries when the walls are thin, the nights are long, and the man sleeping twenty feet away keeps showing up shirtless at dawn with coffee he didn’t have to make.
One storm. One bed. One moment where Wes’s hands end up somewhere they shouldn’t. After that, the only thing more dangerous than losing the ranch is admitting they’ve already lost the fight against each other.

Chapter One: Arrival
The car died the way my career did — with a shudder, a hiss, and a smell that suggested something important had been burning for a long time before I bothered to notice.
Steam poured from under the hood in a white plume that caught the afternoon sun and turned it into something almost beautiful, if you were the kind of person who found metaphors in engine failure. I was. I was also the kind of person who’d been driving for two days on gas station coffee and the kind of fury that only a cheating boyfriend and a resignation letter could produce, so my judgment wasn’t exactly at its sharpest.
I pulled onto the shoulder — gravel and dust and weeds that came up to the door handle — and sat there with the engine ticking and the silence pressing in. Montana. I was in Montana. I hadn’t planned on Montana.
My phone was at four percent. My wallet held two credit cards, one of which was definitely going to get declined, and three hundred dollars in cash I’d pulled from an ATM in a Walmart parking lot in South Dakota.
I turned the key. The engine made a sound like a cat being stepped on and quit.
“Great.” I dropped my forehead against the steering wheel. “That’s great. Thank you.”
I grabbed my phone, my wallet, and the last bottle of water — warm, flat, tasting like the plastic it came in — and started walking.
The sign said CALLOWAY RANCH in letters that had once been white and were now the color of old teeth. Below it, a gate hung open on one hinge.
It was, without question, the most depressing property I’d ever seen.
I loved it immediately.
The door opened, and I forgot what I was going to say.
The man who filled the doorway was built like something that belonged on this land — broad-shouldered, thick-armed, with a jaw that could’ve been cut from the same stone as the mountains behind me.
He looked at me like I was a piece of junk mail that had somehow grown legs and walked to his door.
“Whatever you’re selling, I don’t want it.”
“I’m not selling anything.” My own voice sounded wrong to me — hoarse, scraped thin. “My car broke down about a quarter mile back. I was hoping I could use your phone.”
“Phone’s inside. Landline. Don’t touch anything else.”
