The bar is open. The airport is closed. And nobody is leaving this villa unchanged.
Vesper Quinn came to the island for her sister’s wedding. She did not come to fall back into bed with the woman whose heart she broke.
Noemi Laurent is older, commanding, silver-streaked, and completely unwilling to become Vesper’s temporary mistake again.
Best man Marek Dane understands that kind of restraint. He has spent years pretending his fierce attachment to his childhood friend Bram is entirely platonic. Bram has spent just as long pretending not to notice.
Then a hurricane closes the airport.
Storm damage forces all four into the resort’s private honeymoon villa, where the bar is stocked, the walls are glass, and nobody has anywhere else to go.
Their pact is simple. Every pairing is allowed. Jealousy must be admitted. Nobody gets left alone afterward. And when the airport reopens, the arrangement ends.
But Vesper wants more than Noemi. Marek wants more than Bram. Every connection among the four begins to feel distinct, intimate, and dangerously real.
The storm will pass. The wedding will end. Leaving may prove harder than anything they do inside the villa.

Chapter One: Maid of Dishonor
The plane touched down in a curtain of heat, and Vesper Quinn checked her phone before the seatbelt sign clicked off.
Three texts from Elara. One about the welcome dinner dress code (“smart resort elegant, NOT a fashion show, Vesper, I’m serious”), one about the seating chart (“Ronan’s aunt switched tables again, I’m going to lose my mind”), and one that was just a string of champagne emojis followed by “4 DAYS!!!”
Beneath those, a confirmation from the resort. Her suite was ready. West wing, ocean-facing, directly adjacent to the wedding designer’s accommodations for ease of coordination.
Vesper closed her eyes.
Five days. She could survive five days in paradise. She’d styled a magazine cover shoot at this exact resort two years ago — twelve-hour days under Caribbean sun with a model who refused to sweat and a photographer who sweated constantly. She’d handled it with grace, three liters of water, and a bag of tricks that included double-sided tape, translucent powder, and a flask of very good tequila.
This would be easier. Show up. Look stunning. Give a speech about her little sister finding love. Don’t cause drama.
She did some version of this for a living. Just usually with less personal investment in the bride.
