Two rival captains. One bed. Seven nights that changed everything.
Skye Moreno is the fierce, laser-focused captain and star flyer of the Hellfire cheer squad. She’s spent three years watching her rival’s routines and calling it hatred. She’s been lying to herself the whole time.
Reese Carter is the ice-cold captain of Apex Elite — a tumbling queen and base known for never cracking under pressure. She’s never let herself want anything she couldn’t justify on a spreadsheet. Then Skye Moreno smiled at her in a tunnel and the spreadsheet caught fire.
When a hotel overbooking at Nationals forces them to share a room — and a king bed — for a week of high-stakes competition, late-night stretching sessions become something far more dangerous. Rivalry burns into praise-laced, filthy, soulmate-level sex. And every “good girl” whispered in the dark brings them closer to a truth three years in the making.
But they’re rival captains. Their squads are counting on them. The internet is shipping them. And when an injury threatens to end Skye’s career, they’ll have to choose: the trophy, or each other.

Chapter One: Highlight Reel
The thing about hitting a full-up in front of three thousand people is that you don’t actually hear any of them.
Not the screaming. Not the air horns. Not the announcer butchering your squad name for the third time because apparently “Hellfire” is too complicated for a man with a broadcasting degree. All of that disappears the second your bases lock under you and launch. For two and a half seconds, you’re nothing but physics and faith—hips square, core braced, arms snapping to a high V at the peak while gravity politely waits its turn.
Then you come down, and the world rushes back in like a wave breaking over your head.
My bases caught me clean. Of course they did. We’d drilled this dismount four hundred times since August, and Bri and Tasha could catch me in their sleep at this point. My feet hit the mat and I stuck it—no wobble, no shuffle, just locked knees and a smile sharp enough to cut the judges’ scorecards in half.
Hit. Hit. Hit.
That’s all that mattered. Three clean sections, zero deductions, the kind of routine that made other squads stop stretching in the warm-up area to watch through the curtain gap.
Hellfire didn’t just perform. We detonated.

Extra Credit — A scene TOO HOT for Amazon
One year later, Skye and Reese book room 1847 — the room where it all started — for their anniversary. The yoga mat comes out. The coaching voice comes back. And everything they were too new to try the first time? They’re not new anymore. Stretching-to-sex callbacks, role reversal, and the filthiest, most emotional scene in the series.
