One extra credit session becomes a private curriculum in obedience, control, and every dirty thing neither of them expected to want.
Mason Cruz is one failed midterm away from losing his lacrosse scholarship. He’s cocky, charming, and used to getting by on talent and a grin. None of that works on his new tutor.
Adrian Vale is the math department’s most feared grad student—brilliant, controlled, and allergic to jocks who think charm is a substitute for preparation. He doesn’t do patience. He doesn’t do second chances. And he definitely doesn’t do feelings.
But Mason isn’t stupid—he’s untaught. And when Adrian discovers the mind hiding beneath the bravado, their study sessions become something neither of them planned: a structured, addictive, increasingly explicit arrangement where homework becomes foreplay, grades become rewards, and the word good becomes the most dangerous syllable in the English language.
What starts as academic discipline becomes a private curriculum in praise, control, and surrender. Adrian has rules. Mason has never followed one in his life. But when Adrian tells him to kneel, he doesn’t just obey—he begs for extra credit.

Chapter One: The Ultimatum
The number on the paper is 34.
Not 34 out of 50, which would at least be respectable in a sad, scraping-by kind of way. Not 34 out of some generous scale where anything above 30 means you tried. No. Thirty-four out of one hundred. On a statistics midterm I studied for. Kind of. For at least an hour. Maybe forty-five minutes. The point is, I showed up. I wrote things down. Some of those things even had numbers in them.
Professor Grant slides the exam across her desk like she’s serving me divorce papers. She doesn’t look angry. That’s the worst part. Angry I could work with. Angry means she still thinks I’m worth yelling at.
She looks tired.
“Mr. Cruz.” She folds her hands on her desk. Her office is small, cluttered with textbooks and framed degrees, and it smells like old coffee and the faint despair of a woman who has seen a thousand versions of me walk through that door. “Do you understand what this grade means for your academic standing?”
“It means I’m not great at statistics?”
She doesn’t smile. “It means you’re failing. Not struggling, not borderline—failing. Your current average in my class is a 41. You need a C to maintain your scholarship eligibility. At this pace, you will not pass this course.”
The word scholarship lands like a fist to the sternum.

Office Hours — A scene TOO HOT for Amazon
The semester is over. The grades are in. But when Mason shows up to Adrian’s actual office hours in a button-down with his sleeves rolled, the tutor/student dynamic gets one more very private, very explicit session. Desk sex, a locked door, and the two words that started everything: sit down.
