The most anticipated romance books of 2027 are already on the calendar, and the first one lands eleven weeks after A Court of Splintered Harmony: A Court of Forgotten Melody, January 12. After that comes a crowded spring (Ali Hazelwood’s Love Hypothesis sequel, Hannah Grace’s Formula 1 debut, Haley Cass’s first Atria book, a new Emily Henry, Abby Jimenez’s next and Heated Rivalry season 2) and then the one Shane and Ilya fans have been waiting years for, Rachel Reid’s Unrivaled, on June 1. - Heated Rivalry season 2 (April 2027): the show’s creator has pointed to an April 2027 return, with filming in summer 2026. No exact premiere date yet.
- Fourth Wing: The Graphic Novel, Volume One (April 6, 2027): the first Empyrean graphic novel. There is still no title or date for Empyrean book four.
- Beach Read (May 7, 2027): 20th Century Studios’ film of Emily Henry’s novel, in theaters, with Phoebe Dynevor and Patrick Schwarzenegger as January and Gus, plus Andie MacDowell, Kevin Bacon, Kristin Davis and Tig Notaro.
- This Summer Will Be Different (2027, expected): Netflix’s Carley Fortune film, shooting in Toronto and on Prince Edward Island.
- Icebreaker (date TBA): Netflix’s Hannah Grace series films in Vancouver from October 19, 2026, into early March 2027, so late 2027 is the earliest realistic window. Netflix hasn’t set a date.
Not dated yet: Red, White & Royal Wedding finished filming in March 2026 and is in post-production for Prime Video with no premiere date. If it lands in 2027, we’ll add it here.
